Jewelry Journal

Okay, admittedly I did  watch The Wizard of Oz the other night~it took me back to when I was a little girl.  I almost feared the wicked witch a bit . . . but, rest assured, as a woman of 31 years old, I now know that there are greater things to fear.  At the moment, my fear lies within the big retailers expo I am preparing for.  The fear stems not so much from the show itself, as it does with all of the preparation that is involved.  I have been designing and making new jewelry like a mad woman.  It’s a lot of fun and, trust me, very exciting.  I just hope that I will have everything ready in time!  As with everything else that I have attempted in life, I’ve always worried for nothing . . . in the end, everything always works out and everything always gets done.  I suppose the worry is just the nature of who I am . . . forever a worrier, which probably explains the scary gray hairs I discovered last night while getting ready for bed!!!!! 

 ANYHOW . . . the new jewelry designs are so pretty (if I do say so myself).  All of the different colors make me long for warmer weather~skirts, flip flops, days when everything seems more fun, and there’s nothing more soothing than the gentle warmth of the sun on your face.   The collection continues to include wirework (more of it), semi-precious stones (more colors), and the use of vintage chandelier crystals (a popular favorite), but I have also added a collection of vintage photo pendants and charms.  I have had scads of these things lying around my work table, but I have been waiting on revealing them, as I have been desperately trying to hone my soldering skills.  I think I am finally onto something (thank you, Ranard, for getting me that tabletop clamp~you’re a lifesaver!). 

As the focus of this entry seems to be going off track, I bid you farewell.  It’s time for me to get back to work – – afterall, the show will go on – – and Painted Beauty Jewelry needs to be ready!  WISH ME LUCK!!!!!
