As some of you may have already noticed, Google has falsely labeled my site, http://www.paintedbeauty.com, as a malware infected site; however, if you click on the message to learn more about the “problem” you will clearly see that the site is NOT INFECTED, nor is it suspicious. I have been fighting with Google for several weeks now trying to resolve this issue and I am greatly dismayed that nothing has been done to remove this silly message. Please know that if you do go to my site and encounter such a message, you may enter safely into the site . . . I assure you that it is SAFE and it has been tested thoroughly by the hosting company. With any luck, this mess will be resolved ASAP!!!
Until then, please keep visiting Painted Beauty Jewelry . . . I have been working on some very pretty pieces to add to the spring 2009 collection and I wouldn’t want you to miss out!

Yes, I know it’s been quite some time since I’ve written . . . I’m terribly sorry (really, I am). Some days I don’t really know what to write and others I feel like I could go on forever (though I tend to spare you the details ~ you’re welcome, by the way!). While this blog is attached to Painted Beauty (the business), I feel inclined to write about whatever is happening at the moment . . . even if it’s non-business related. So, here’s the skinny on what’s been going on since my last entry . . .
Ranard and I took Pal on a hike at Crowder’s Mountain today. It was great fun and quite a workout. We chose the “strenuous” trail . . . brilliant idea! We hadn’t even walked 0.3 miles before I was huffing and puffing!!!! Thank goodness for the boulders strategically placed along the trail . . . a rest was required along the way. Pal was a trooper and forged ahead without any coaxing. Perhaps mom and dad need some more cardiovascular conditioning!!!! The view from the top was absolutely gorgeous . . . well worth the rubbery legs and gasping (I assure you).
I traveled to Dallas, Texas for the eWomen Network International Conference & Business Expo. The conference featured distinguished speakers from all over the country and provided business owners with a variety of workshops to attend. It was fabulous to meet women from not only the U.S., but from Canada and Australia as well. Dallas is a great city . . . definitely a mix of old and new (think Buffalo meets Charlotte). We had so much fun seeing the sites and enjoying delicious food (seafood, tex-mex, and . . . OH MY GOSH, the BEST mango margaritas I have ever tasted in my entire life!!!!!). Seriously, if you’re ever in the West Village of Dallas, you have to visit Mi Cocina for wonderfullly delicious mexican food and margaritas.
As for the jewelry, well, let’s see . . . The L.O.F.T. of Asheville (www.loftofasheville.com) now carries Painted Beauty Jewelry (yay!!!). In addition, I’ve been keeping busy working on custom orders and creating new designs for the upcoming season . . . I must say, I am really excited about what I’ve put together so far. I can’t wait to share everything with you! On that note, I must get going. I have more to create and I’m certainly not working on jewelry if I’m sitting here typing!

Thanks to the help of my web developer (who is oh so tech savvy), the shopping cart system is now in working order. I have tested it myself and it appears to be working properly on my end; however, please let me know if you notice anything silly going on with any aspect of my website (check-out system or otherwise). It is extremely important to me to have the website functioning smoothly. Your help is always appreciated!
In the meantime, I am off to make Moussaka for dinner (it’s a Greek dish). Traditionally it’s made with lamb, but of course there will be none of that in the Brown household!!! So, I’ll be substituting lentils instead combined with eggplant, tomatoes, and a variety of yummy deliciousness! It’s my first time making it so wish me luck! If it’s a winner, perhaps I’ll share the recipe with you . . . we’ll see . . . I’ll let you know in the morning.
Have a marvelous Monday evening!

As if it could get any worse, I’ve discovered more problems with my website . . . at the moment, I CANNOT:
. . . Add new jewelry . . .
And YOU CANNOT:
. . . Purchase any jewelry . . .
Sounds like a problem, don’t you think?!?! WELL, OF COURSE IT IS! All of this is happening because my website was recently transferred to a new platform within the hosting company and now some of my site’s functionality has been compromised. Things “behing the scenes” need to be reconfigured in order for everything to run smoothly again. Rest assured, I’m working on it! Please be patient during this difficult and trying time . . . I really appreciate it! It is my hope that these glitches are only temporary . . . I’ll be in touch!
In the meantime, I’m going to take a snooze . . . this whole ordeal has worn me out!
